365 Days of Fibromyalgia

Feeling Defeated

February 6, 2014

I was feeling down and I read Joyce Meyer devotional, which I have been reading every day now. And I so needed this message today, here it is…

Never Say “No Way”

by Joyce Meyer – posted February 06, 2014

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
—John 14:6
Have you ever faced a situation and said, “There is no way”? Maybe some of these thoughts weigh on your mind:
There is no way I can handle the pressure at work.
There is no way I can pay my bills at the end of the month. There is no way I can save my marriage.
There is no way I can keep my house clean and straight. There is no way I can lose the weight I need to lose.
There is always a way. It may not be easy, it may not be convenient, it may not come quickly; but if you will simply keep on keeping on and refuse to give up, you will find a way. Jesus is the Way, and He will help you find a way where there doesn’t seem to be one.
Power Thought: I refuse to say “no way”; Jesus is the Way.

I hope this helps you today as much as it helped me. It just gave me just a little more hope than I had, I was getting very depressed and this has lifted me up a bit, and help me hold on a little longer. My biggest issue right now is losing weight and I have felt that there is no way for me to lose it and I should just settle and deal with how I am because there’s no way I can change it. I don’t want to say no way but I know it will take me a lot longer than it would have took me years ago. Chronic illness has slowed me down so much but I haven’t stopped, still keeping on.
