Potato Head

February 19, 2014

Mrs. Potato Head

Most of us will remember the toy Mr. Potato Head, where you could remove and change out its parts. Well that’s what I wish I could do to myself, change my body parts.
Today my legs have ached from themorning through night, and heat had not really helped.  Along with my legs, my arms ache as well. Sharp shooting pain in my arms, legs and aching/cramping hands.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could change out what hurt and replace it with a new one. I was lying here thinking about it, wondering what should I title this and thinking about how I felt. One thing that came to mind was I feel like ripping off my legs, and then it hit me. Changeable, if only I could switch them out.

Prayer for Those in Physical Pain:

Oh Lord, help me to feel your calming hand upon me
when I am in pain.
Let your ever-loving comfort enfold me,
And give me the heart to see
that in my suffering, I am becoming
closer to you…
and more divine.

“LORD, you have searched me and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD. 5 You hem me in–behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me.” Psalm 139

“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.Thank You for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous — how well I know it.” Psalm 139

I VOTE FOR REMOVABLE PARTS… Now that’s a good laugh.
