365 Days of Fibromyalgia

Shine Your Light

Shine Your Light

“You are like light for the whole world.
A city built on a hill cannot be hid.
No one lights a lamp and puts it under a bowl; instead it is put on the lampstand, where it gives light for everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine before people, so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16 GNT)

We often forget how wonderful we really are, after going through so much trauma in out lives it can break one down, to the point you feel useless. Today I ask you to look in the mirror at yourself and smile, see your light shine through. Remember you are beautiful and with God on your side you can do anything you set out to do. Everyday is a new beginning, it doesn’t matter if you feel you are starting over, at least you get another chance to do it even better this time and it will have more meaning.

“We are often troubled, but not crushed; sometimes in doubt, but never in despair; there are many enemies, but we are never without a friend; and though badly hurt at times, we are not destroyed.” (2 Corinthians 4:8, 9 GNB)

Everyday with fibromyalgia pain I know we may think to ourselves, like this is the day, I’m not going to make it, it’s over. Fibromyalgia will not destroy you [us] if we don’t let it.

“Throughout our lives we are always in danger of death for Jesus’ sake, in order that his life may be seen in this mortal body of ours. This means that death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.” (2 Corinthians 4:11, 12 GNB)

JESUS DIED TO UNLOCK OUR LIVES!
